Here is a recording of my third Toastmasters speech (see the first and second). The objective of this speech was to “get to the point”.

Feedback
I was given a very nice evaluation from my assigned evaluator that, amongst lots of praise, let me know that my eye contact didn’t extend to the edges of the room. My mentor didn’t let me off so lightly. He made several astute points. I focused mainly on the right side of the audience, possibly as the lectern was in the way. The two anecdotes were disjoint and the transition between them could have been made more smooth. The conclusion was tacked on the end and didn’t fit in with the style of the rest of the speech. All excellent observations that I completely agree with.
Here are the feedback slips from the rest of the audience:
Thanks to Martin (@martinrsmith) for sitting through multiple rehearsals, Maureen (@mo118) for listening to multiple rehearsals over Skype, and my mentor Andrew Chuks for giving me lots of great feedback.
Any more feedback in the comments would be appreciated.
Now I’m itching to get on with the next speech.

Nice speech
Loved the imagery.
Do they allow spectators at these dos?
Cheers Tom,
Yes, guests are always welcome! Next one is on the 15th, let me know if you want to come along.
Thanks, Andy
Enjoyed this too! Might pop along some time, when are you next speaking?
Feel the need to be a pedant and suggest that EOS should be pronounced ‘eeeee-os’, not the initials. Only cos someone in a camera shop told me that. Wikipedia’s not sure: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canon_EOS
Oh and by the way, let me know if you’re clearly out old camera equipment (or fancy going to take some snaps some time).
Cheers Simon,
Prob won’t be speaking again for a few months, but I’ll let you know when I’ve got my next speech booked.
I would like to resurrect photography some time. Thinking of signing up to a course so I’m committed do something each week. We should def go out and take some snaps sometime.
Thanks, Andy
