Streamline your idea to be creative

If you're having trouble getting started look at the premis of your speech and decide if it is specific enough. Limiting the scope of your idea will force your speech to become more focused.

Don’t dodge the important issues

Don't pretend that everything is fine if it's not. Don't waste everyone's time painting a rosy picture of the situation if there are obvious problems. Engage with the issues that are at the front of people's minds.
